Job Title: Vice President of Community Programs
Reports To: Chief Program Officer
Department: Programs
Job Type: Salary Exempt – Full-time
Salary Range: 130k

Objective of Role: The Vice President of Community Program oversees the general management of all GOSO community based programs with a focus on program development, delivery, and evaluation. This position will be a part of the senior management team and will contribute to the overall strategy of the organization and will partner with the Chief Program Officer to represent GOSO in the community and at external meetings. After developing a deep understanding of programs, the VP of Community Programs will focus on cultivating program leadership and ensure that teams continue to develop and maintain innovative programming for GOSO participants.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure excellent delivery of services in all program areas in accordance with the objectives of GOSO strategic and operational plan
  • Work collaboratively with other departments within the organization to achieve program and organization goals
  • Attract, develop, coach and retain high performing team members
  • Work with staff to develop systems to ensure consistent and high quality delivery of services
  • In partnership with CPO develop systems, processes and tools to support facilitation, collection and sharing of information generated by programs
  • Act as a GOSO Ambassador in the community to engage around GOSO vision and mission
  • Create metrics for programs and ensure they are met by closely monitoring program progress
  • Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal and ethical guidelines
  • Maintain detailed reports of all activities and provide monthly report
  • Apply change, risk and resource management principal where needed
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree with at least 10 years of professional experience in a senior leadership position
  • Demonstrated experience leading high performance and outcome based program
  • Superior communication skills, with the ability to connect with a variety of internal and external audiences including participants of GOSO
  • A passion for criminal and racial justice
  • Proven track record with building strong relationships with colleagues and community members
  • Strong conceptual, analytic, and organizational skills to inform strategy development and execution
  • Experience managing data and reporting outcomes
  • Excellent writing and computer skills
