GOSO OVERVIEW

Let’s get started!

Getting Out and Staying Out (GOSO) empowers young men to avoid involvement in the criminal justice system by reshaping their futures through educational achievement, meaningful employment, and financial independence. GOSO focuses on the individuals’ capacities and strengths, as well as developmental needs and emotional well-being. Our aim is to promote personal, professional, and intellectual growth through goal-oriented programming and comprehensive social support services.

Who We Serve

  • GOSO serves 16-to-24-year-olds who identify as male and have been impacted by the justice system through either direct or indirect contact. Please note: This means that not all of our participants have been incarcerated, but they have been impacted by the justice system.
  • GOSO Participants are not asked to leave once they turn 24; instead, they may shift to alumni status, where they can participate in advanced curriculum workshops and are given different opportunities.
