Abbi Robinson-Hobson, Chief Operating and Finance Officer

Abbi Robinson-Hobson leads and oversees GOSO’s Finance, Facility Operations, and Workforce Development Program, GOSOWorks.

Abbi has 20 years of experience where she has managed diverse businesses and teams in sports, film, television, media, marketing, branding, facilities, human resources, venture capital and nonprofits. She has led multi-billion-dollar initiatives and deals at notable companies including the National Basketball Association, Showtime Networks, American Express, and at various entities owned by Filmmaker, Spike Lee. Her early career includes accounting and auditing roles at global firms PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Eisner Amper. Abbi completed her Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Brooklyn College and earned a MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.

While at Johnson Graduate School of Management, Abbi completed a Global Business Study where she studied the business operations and management of companies in China, India, and UAE. She is a founding member and Vice Chair of the Johnson Recent Alumni Council at Cornell University. Abbi is community focused, serving on several nonprofit boards. She is the Treasurer for Bridge Street Development Corporation’s Board of Directors; serves on Brooklyn’s Community Board 3 and is The Bedford Stuyvesant YMCA’s gala committee chair. She is a member of The Brownstoners of Bedford Stuyvesant, Inc., the Black MBA’s, and the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA). She is also a native of the Republic of Panama and reasonably communicates in Spanish.

Abbi has become an emerging voice for social justice with a focus on overall economic development & sustainability, where she has set out to dedicate her business expertise.
