Shaquala Fields, LCSW, Senior Director of Cure Violence
As the Senior Director of Cure Violence, Shaquala oversees GOSO’s Cure Violence program- SAVE.SAVE seeks to mediate gun violence in the East Harlem community; specifically in the Jefferson, Johnson, and Wagner houses. Shaquala previously served as GOSO’s Senior Director of Client Programs in which she helped develop and implement key program components- such as the Leadership in Training Program (LIT). Ms. Fields received her MSW with Advanced Standing from Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work and has extensive experience working with at-risk youth. She is also a New York Community Trust Fellow. Prior to joining GOSO, she was Associate Program Manager for Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC where she supervised 60 mentor relationships.
