Julia provides education, employment, and supportive counseling to participants in the community-based program and on Rikers Island. On Rikers Island, she initiates the supportive relationships which continues throughout their re-entry process into the community-based program. Julia received her B.A. from Drew University in 2013 and her M.S.W. from New York University Silver School of Social Work in 2015. Prior to becoming a full-time Career Manager, shewas an intern at GOSO from 2014-2015. Her interest in working with justice-involved persons began when she took a Sociology of Gender class with women serving time at Edna Mahan’s Correction Facility for Women in Clinton, New Jersey.
