Loretta Owens, LMSW, Career Manager and Coordinator, Advocacy and Community Engagement


Loretta assists clients, both in the community and on Rikers Island, in achieving their respective personal and professional goals by providing mental health services, job training, and court advocacy. Additionally, Loretta oversees GOSO’s community programming, which engages clients in organizing and participating in impactful events throughout New York City with the aim of promoting an enhanced sense of self-awareness and empowerment. As a graduate of New York University, Loretta utilizes her knowledge of racial and structural inequality to provide an intersectional, holistic approach to re-entry services and criminal justice reform.
