GO&SO welcomes volunteers who are willing to make a commitment to our young clients as they work to gain education and employment.  Many of our young men are establishing new, more constructive relationships as part of their return to the community.  GO&SO volunteers who serve as coaches make a critical difference for young men who lack role models that can give them advice on their new endeavors. 

GO&SO can provide a flexible schedule for volunteers.  We provide training and ongoing support for volunteers who want to become successful coaches and tutors for GO&SO clients.  GO&SO coaches have the option of working in our offices in East Harlem or on Rikers Island.  If you have been able to obtain the education you wanted and if you have been able to obtain a successful, satisfying career, then you have essential skills to impart to GO&SO clients.  There are opportunities to present group workshops or work one-on-one.
